FUNDAMENTALS
The key to doing anything correctly is to start with the fundamentals. In this class we provide an introduction to the predominant movements performed in our workouts. No matter where you are on your fitness journey, you can always learn how to perform with better technique. Our goal is to keep you safe, teach you the right way from the beginning and set you up for success by building a solid foundation of movement.
FASTFIT
Want rapid results in a fun setting? Get ready for FastFit! This one-hour full body workout features a combination of intense cardio, moderate strength training and core work to accelerate your goals—no matter what your fitness level. And since the workouts are different every day, you’ll never get bored. In fact, our members rave about how soon they see and feel the results.
CROSSFIT
What we love about CrossFit is how it makes people of all levels capable of doing things they never thought possible. Our CrossFit classes combine weightlifting, gymnastic movements and sprint conditioning to give you an amazing workout and challenge your body and your mind. Remember, the body achieves what the mind believes. The workouts are different every day, targeting your entire body to push you and make you stronger at the same time. Just don’t blame us when you get hooked!
STRONGFIT
This specialty class is designed to complement our FastFit and CrossFit programs.
Want to increase your strength? Our StrongFit class slows it down to focus on a few specific lifts, along with technical accessory work, to improve your overall strength and your movement mechanics. Whether you’ve never touched a barbell or you’ve been slinging weights your whole life, StrongFit is structured to help you attain your strength goals, one lift at a time.
PERSONAL COACHING
Want to run a marathon? Train for a Spartan Race? Do a 5K? Just get stronger and move better? Whatever your specific fitness goals, our personal coaching is tailored to you. Our experienced coaches are here to help you develop a fitness routine and healthy lifestyle that works for you and is manageable and sustainable for the long term.
NUTRITION
Donuts don’t give you abs. We wish they did. The sad truth is that no matter how hard you try, you can’t out-train a poor diet. Your nutrition is the single most important factor in producing and seeing results for how you look and feel. But that doesn’t mean you need to be strict or that you can’t enjoy food. Quite the opposite. Whether you want a quick consultation or an in-depth guided program, we’ll put you on a path for success, combining behavioral change with achievement to create healthy eating habits that will last a lifetime.
BIRTHFIT
Giving birth might be the most athletic thing you ever do. Train for it. Specifically researched and designed for expecting and postpartum moms, BirthFit classes help safely prepare you for the experience of birth and the lifelong journey that follows. We’re excited to bring this amazing national program to DC. Led by BirthFit Regional Directors and head coaches Michelle Gorman and Kristin Stone, this 4-week package of classes is offered on a rolling basis.
KIDCARE
Having children shouldn’t prevent you from working out. In fact, we want your fitness to enable you to play with your kids and of course inspire them to be active as well. That’s why we offer KidCare, providing quality sitters in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment allowing you to focus on one thing — your workout.

24/7 ACCESS
● Want to workout on your own time?
● Class schedule doesn’t always fit your schedule?
● Looking for the ultimate convenience to when you can workout or come lift?
We now offer 24-hour, seven-day-a-week access to the gym. Controlled via an app, 24/7 access can be added to a membership. Ask us how you can take advantage of 24/7 access and say goodbye to workout excuses.
We follow the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) Guidelines:
- If the Federal Government is closed, so are we.
- If the Federal Government has a delayed opening, our morning classes are cancelled and the first class is noon.
OPM has a free app you can download to see the Federal Government’s status. Get it here.
In some cases, we may cancel classes or hold classes outside of OPM’s decisions.
Notifications of closures and class cancellations will be posted on our both our WOD page and our Facebook page. Members registered for cancelled classes will receive a text or email alerting them to the cancellation.
If you are attending a CrossFit HQ or other type of seminar at CrossFit Petworth, here are some handy things you should know:
Parking:
We have our own parking lot and free street parking. Come early for a parking lot spot and give yourself plenty of time to find a street spot.
Hotels/Accommodations:
While there are no hotels in walking distance of CFP, there are plenty of options.

AirBnB is a great option as well. Go to their site HERE and search for accommodations in Petworth, DC.
Food:
Petworth has a ton of options for food, including 2 grocery stores in walking distance. You’ll receive a handout with food options nearby at your seminar.
