FREE CLASS

FOUNDATIONS

Foundations Classes are required before starting your membership. The classes are designed to help you feel more confident and comfortable in starting regular classes by introducing you to our fundamental movements and skills.

FASTFIT

FastFit is a full body workout focused on cardio, moderate strength training and core work. Classes incorporate use of dumbbells, TRX, kettlebells, medicine balls, assault bikes, body weight movements and more. Each hour long class is individualized to suit your fitness level and goals. Workouts are different every day, and you’ll be surprised how soon you feel the results.

(FastFit Foundations 1 & 2 must be completed before starting FF classes)

CROSSFIT

Our CrossFit Classes combine the effective training methods of weightlifting, gymnastic movements and sprint conditioning. Every day is a different workout and each class is focused on teaching the movements, ensuring your safety and and providing total body workouts that will challenge and strengthen you. You will be surprised what your body is capable of doing!

(FastFit and CrossFit Foundations must be completed before starting CF classes.)

XTRAFIT

Adding a little Xtra to your fitness. XtraFit compliments our FastFit and CrossFit classes by focusing on Conditioning (think cardio) and Core (think abs), using rowers, bikes, battle ropes, TRX and more.

(Classes are held Tuesday & Thursday at 7pm.)

PERSONAL TRAINING

Petworth Fitness also offers personal training for members looking for more in-depth instruction and individual programming. We will work with you to build a personal plan based on your specific fitness goals. In each personal training session, our coaches will provide a challenging workout that fits with your current level of fitness and experience.

NUTRITION

No matter how hard you try, you can’t outtrain a poor diet. Addressing your nutrition is the most important factor in producing and seeing results in how you look and feel.

Petworth Fitness offers everything from a quick consultation to an in depth comprehensive guided program to help set you on a path for success.

We follow the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) Guidelines:

  • If the Federal Government is closed, so are we.
  • If the Federal Government has a delayed opening, our morning classes are cancelled and the first class is noon.

OPM has a free app you can download to see the Federal Government’s status. Get it here.

In some cases, we may cancel classes or hold classes outside of OPM’s decisions.

Notifications of closures and class cancellations will be posted on our both our WOD page and our Facebook page. Members registered for cancelled classes will receive a text or email alerting them to the cancellation.

If you are attending a CrossFit HQ or other type of seminar at CrossFit Petworth, here are some handy things you should know:

Parking:

We have our own parking lot and free street parking. Come early for a parking lot spot and give yourself plenty of time to find a street spot.

Hotels/Accommodations:

While there are no hotels in walking distance of CFP, there are plenty of options.

AirBnB is a great option as well. Go to their site HERE and search for accommodations in Petworth, DC.

Food:

Petworth has a ton of options for food, including 2 grocery stores in walking distance. You’ll receive a handout with food options nearby at your seminar.
